Access Hardware is pleased to confirm the successful completion of its acquisition of API Access & Security on Friday, 1 August 2025, following the initial signing announced earlier this month.
This milestone marks more than just a change in ownership — it’s the beginning of a new era. By bringing together two of Australia’s most trusted commercial locksmith and security providers, we’re building the country’s largest and most capable national network. With greater reach, deeper technical expertise, and faster response times, this is a move that’s set to reshape what’s possible in commercial security support.
API Access & Security brings a long-standing reputation for excellence in commercial locksmithing, master key systems, and complete electronic access control solutions. With the strength of both businesses now combined, Access Hardware is positioned to deliver even greater value to customers across trade, government, education, health, and commercial property sectors.
What this means for API Customers:
It’s business as usual. API Access & Security will continue to operate under its existing name — now backed by the scale and capability of Access Hardware — and you’ll still be working with the same trusted team.
The API Customer Service line (131 539) remains active, including after-hours emergency support. Email addresses will redirect automatically to new Access Hardware addresses, and all mobile numbers remain unchanged. Your current account and credit arrangements stay the same.
You’ll now also have access to the broader capabilities of the Access Hardware network, including:
