The Clarence Correctional Centre was a $500M project lead by head contractor John Holland. The facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia with the prison operational from mid-2020. The site footprint spans across 4km with more than 57 different buildings and 1700 beds.

Access Hardware provided a complete range of hardware solutions to suit the project from the high security detention locking equipment through to the commercial door hardware. We supplied and installed over 300 Southern Folger detention locks, both electrical and mechanical, the supply of all commercial door hardware for the project, plus installed over 10,000 high security master keyed cylinders for the project.

Working directly for the head contractor, John Holland and the prison operator, SERCO, Access Hardware's locksmithing and security solutions team spent over 12 months working on site for this project, ensuring we met key dates and cost requirements throughout.

As a result of our determination and our development of strong ongoing relationships this project, Access Hardware will remain engaged by the prison operator, SERCO, to provide ongoing maintenance and support on site for this significant project well into the future.

This project is a massive private public partnership (PPP) infrastructure project for NSW. The Northern Pathways consortium, comprising John Holland, SERCO, Macquarie and John Laing were engaged by NSW State Government to design, build and operate the largest prison project in Australia.
