Awning Window : Outward opening design, hinged at top with bottom of window tiling outwards.

Casement Window : hinged on the side and swings open like a door, casement stays are used to hold these windows open and casement fasteners hold them closed.

Sash/Double Hung Window : Also called sash windows. Top and bottom sashes that slide up and down. The bottom sash slides up and down and the top sash also opens and closes.
